Order Paper NowToday we are here to talk about why we should be opening Guiding Stars Child Care Facility. We will be providing a needed service to the community, that is currently lacking quality child care. Financially more and more families have both parents working, creating a need for more quality child care centers. The Guiding Stars Child Care Facility is built to provide a state of the art facility where children can learn and grow in a safe and secure environment. As you enter our center, you will see a bright and colorful reception area that has space for our curriculum and parent information to be laid out, allowing parents to review at their leisure. The classrooms are specially designed with different age groups in mind. Our first room is the infant 1 room for ages 6 weeks to 6 months. Our infant facilities are state of the art providing a safe and tranquil environment for the babies. Each baby will have their own crib, and we never share cribs. The changing area is designed for efficiency and safety facing outward, so the caregiver never has their back to the children. The infant feeding area has a semi-circle table where a caregiver can be seated to feed the children, and a warming kitchen will also be located in this area. The next room is infant 2 room for babies 6 to 12 months of age or when they start to walk. In this room, there is a larger feeding area because children start to be more self-sufficient and socially active. We still offer the individual cribs in this room. There are age appropriate toys and books to stimulate the children’s imagination.
Next, we have the toddler 1 classrooms for children 12 to 18 months of age. These rooms are spacious and brightly decorated. There are child sized tables for activities. The rooms are also filled with age appropriate art supplies, blocks, toys and books to help children grow and learn. The restrooms and changing areas are specifically designed for the needs of young children learning to use the potty we want to help encourage independence and healthy bathroom habits. The toddler rooms have a self-contained kitchen area with sink, refrigerator and warming area that is separate from the restroom area. Also, there are cubbies for each child’s personal items to be stored. Lastly, we have the toddler 2 classrooms for children age 18-24 months of age. The room is designed for a more active child. In this room, children will start participating in more group activities like circle time where we will sing songs and read stories, to expand vocabulary skills. Our outdoor play yard is divided to provide different age appropriate equipment for the children. All of our play yard equipment has been chosen with safety in mind. Awnings over the play equipment provide protection from the sun. A special rubberized material pathway goes around and through the play yard, where children can bounce balls, run, skip and play safely.
Our philosophy at Guiding Stars Child Care Facility is to encourage the development of the whole child: emotionally, mentally, physically and socially. The learning that takes place in our center is based on the philosophy of respect for the individual child, with recognition of the child’s ability to grow and develop internal controls, to think and play creatively and to discover his or her own resources. At Guiding Stars Child Care Facility, children learn by doing and through activities and play making discoveries on their own. We believe that the process of creating is more important than a particular product.
Goals in all areas of development are:
Social: to help the child feel comfortable in the school environment, to feel that each is part of the group and to make friends.
Emotional: to help the children experience self-confidence, develop independence and self-control and have a positive outlook on life.
Cognitive: to help the children become confident learners by letting them try out their own ideas and experience success, and by helping them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions, and use words to describe their thoughts, observations, and feelings.
Physical: to help the children increase large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do.
The highly-qualified staff at Guiding Stars Child Care Facility is here to help you and your child in any way possible. Along with the well-trained reception staff, classroom caregivers and director we also have an in-house speech-language therapist, physical therapist, a developmental psychologist, cognitive psychologist, and family psychologist to make sure that our facility meets the needs of every child and family we serve.
So I just need 3 slides that pertain to this with speaker notes and references. That is all. I don’t need a title page or anything else but 3 slides that will be put together with my group. . See below:
Cognitive Approach
Cognitive psychologists believe that expectations and emotions determine behavior, Jean Piaget believed that people remember things based on what they already know (Berk & Meyers, 2016). Young children learn so much from birth to two years of age, here at Guiding Stars, we will provide them with rich, age appropriate experiences.
